  • Metropolis: Well drawn, beautifully imagined, but narratively confused

  • Moulin Rouge: Freebasing movie magic
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: Grand, ambitious filmmaking
  • The Dish: Heartwarming, sweet and quirky
  • Memento: Intriguing, thought-provoking thriller
    Monsters Inc.: Cheerful and fun
  • The Others: Atmospheric, well-cast
  • In the Bedroom: Slight flaws erased by brilliant acting
  • Iron Monkey: The best non-Jet, non-Jackie martial arts movie

  • The Score: Taut, well-acted heist pic
  • The Tailor of Panama: Surprisingly funny, witty spy story with a great political comment
  • Gosford Park: Requires a second viewing, but well-constructed
  • Spy Kids: Entertaining, colorful kids movie with fun for adults
  • A Beautiful Mind: A fantastic and fascinating movie nearly destroyed by a schmatlzy ending
  • Rush Hour 2: Reliable fun
  • The Royal Tenenbaums: Kitschy fun, but too cold
  • Atlantis: The Lost Empire: Underrated, visually enticing anime-homage
  • Enemy at the Gates: Satisfactory "Tale of Two Cities"-like war/love-story
  • Jurassic Park III: Mindless fun, exciting action sequences
  • Shrek: Sweet and occaisionally funny, but also overrated
  • Ocean's Eleven: Fun, mindless fluff
  • Sidewalks of New York Loveable, thoughtful, but a bit sex-obsessed
  • The Mummy Returns: It's fun... just admit it.
  • Kiss of the Dragon: Mediocre for most of the movie but ends with a fun, fanastic fight sequences in the last 20 minutes
