Bonnie Kathleen Wright (born February 17, 1991) is an English actress, most famous for her role in the Harry Potter films as Ginny Weasley.
Biography
She was born in London, England, to Gary Wright and Sheila Teague Wright. She has an older brother, Lewis.
Wright enjoys dancing, art, travelling, and playing musical instruments like the piano, recorder and saxophone, as well as sports such as football, swimming, tennis, riding, ice skating, cycling and surfing.
Wright is tutored during filming because she has not finished school. When not filming, she attends King Alfred School in London.
Career
Bonnie Wright was originally cast as Ginny Weasley for a small scene in the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001), set in King's Cross. Her role became more prominent with the second movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002), in which Ginny battles with her crush on Harry, the powers of a secret diary, and her own tormented conscience. Wright's role in the third film, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), was significantly smaller, leaving her with only one line of dialogue. However, the character became a bonafide supporting character in the fourth film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), with dialogue sprinkled across several scenes and perhaps the most screentime yet. She confirmed at the London premiere of Goblet of Fire that she would be returning for the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, due for release in 2007.[1]
It has not been announced whether Wright will be reprising her role as Ginny Weasley in the sixth and seventh Harry Potter films, but her character has an increasingly significant role in the sixth book, becoming Harry's girlfriend. In recent interviews she has said she would be interested in continuing her role.
Wright has also starred in two television movies: 2002's Stranded and 2004's Agatha Christie: A Life in Pictures.

From TIME Magazine: If there's a real downside to growing up Potter, it's that your adolescence is on display in multiplexes the world over, in excruciating close-up. The most embarrasing part, though, can be when you're filmed kissing. When you see [the film] sometimes you can think, "Oh no, they used that bit!" says Bonnie Wright, 14, who plays Ron's little sister Ginny. "I think everyone sometimes feels intimidated by themselves when they see themselves on the screen." After all, it's hard enough figuring out who you are when you're a teenager. How much worse is it when you spend all day pretending to be someone else?
Bonnie Wright, who's played the youngest of the Weasley clan since the first film, told us she finds herself reading ahead to see how Ginny is going to develop in future books. "It's strange to read the books knowing that you might be doing this one day."
