Nicolas Coster (born December 3, 1934 in London, United Kingdom) is a British-born American actor, most known for his work in daytime drama and as a character actor on nighttime television series. Coster was born to an American mother and a father from New Zealand.
In daytime, he was best known for his role as Lionel Lockridge on Santa Barbara, which he played from 1984 to 1988 and from 1990 to 1993. He played the character of Robert Delaney on both Somerset (1970-72) and Another World (1972-76). Coster played smaller roles on other daytime dramas such as One Life to Live and As the World Turns.
Coster's first appearance on television was on an episode of The U.S. Steel Hour in 1959. Since then, he has racked up over 80 appearances on three dozen television shows, guest-starring most notably as David Warner, the father of Blair Warner, on the sitcom The Facts of Life.
Coster is currently married, with three children (two from a previous marriage to actress Candace Hilligoss).
