Steven Strait (born March 23, 1986) is an American actor, fashion model, and singer.
Biography
Strait was born and raised in Greenwich Village, New York City. He attended Xavier High School (New York City) and took classes at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. During his teen years, Strait modeled for L'Uomo Vogue, Spoon Magazine, Details, Surface, and Pop Magazine, and worked with photographers Bruce Weber, Herb Ritts, and Ellen von Unwerth; Weber featured Strait in his 2001 book, All-American: Short Stories. More recently, he has been signed for campaigns with Harlequin and Hollister Co. Although scouted and employed by Boss Model Management, Strait currently does not appear on their website.
Strait is the lead singer of the band Tribe, who were signed by Lakeshore Records in late 2005. He made his acting debut in 2005, appearing as rebellious pyrokinetic Warren Peace in the film Sky High, which was released in July to positive reviews and high box office. He covered The Fixx song "One Thing Leads to Another" for the film's soundtrack. He also appeared as lead character Luke Falcon in Undiscovered, which was released in late August of the same year. His most recent film role is as Caleb Danvers in The Covenant, a horror/thriller film which opened on September 8, 2006.
Strait will next appear opposite Camilla Belle in 10,000 BC, a pre-historic adventure scheduled for a December 2007 release.
