Susanne Bier (b. April 15, 1960, Copenhagen) is a Danish producer, director and writer. She is recognised as one of the most influential of her kind in Denmark.

She has directed some thirteen movies and produced one. Additionally she has written either the story or screenplay for half of them. The best known are The One and Only (1999), Open Hearts (2002), Brothers (2004), After the Wedding (2006).
