Best Kids/Family Film: Two Brothers Two Brothers

When it comes to movies for children, one can rarely go wrong with using animals. Two Brothers has two. Starring Guy Pearce and directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud, this charming tale is about two tigers reuniting after years of separation. With its stunning cinematography and family-friendly message, it won over the critics to become this year's best reviewed movie in the Kids/Family genre, rating 77% on the Tomatometer and 70.08 for the adjusted score. Stephen Holden of the New York Times calls it "a family-friendly movie made for the same audience that likes to imagine talking animals." Jeff Vice of the Deseret News says Two Brothers is "one of the better live-action, family-oriented dramas in recent memory," with Richard Roeper adding that it's "one of the most amazing animal adventure fables ever captured on film." Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, the big screen adaptation of Daniel Handler's children's book of the same name, came in second, and Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed ranked third.
