Best Animation: The Incredibles The Incredibles

When it comes to animated films, the selections are usually very slim, and the good ones historically have come from Disney's in-house animation studio. That is no longer the case, as the animation crown has been taken by Pixar Studios of Toy Story and Finding Nemo fame. Now we add another feather to Pixar's cap. Having already been singled out as the best-reviewed major release of 2004, it should come as no surprise to learn that The Incredibles is also this year's best-reviewed animated film. With a field that included the likes of Home on the Range, Shark Tale, Shrek 2, and The Polar Express, The Incredibles faced real competition only from the green ogre. While Shrek 2 is a very good animated film in its own right, in the end, it is The Incredibles that triumphed. Boasting state-of-the-art animation and spot-on voice acting from Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, and others, The Incredibles also made a cool $257M at the domestic box office, making it a box office hit as well. Let us know what your pick for this category is here.
