Ice Cube Goes From Family Film to "XXX"
by RT Staff | January 25, 2005
Discuss Article
Ice Cube has gone for the family market with the recent "Are We There Yet?" and now he's headed towards more action-packed fare with "XXX2: State of the Union." Cube told IGN FilmForce that the plan for the series is to use a different actor for each film; the first "XXX" movie starred Vin Diesel. Cube stars in the latest installment with Samuel L. Jackson; he said each mission requires a different man for the job.

Cube. CUBE. For a second there I thought you were going into the pornography business. But they I realized someone would actually make xxx 2. Shame on them. But I can't blame you, after all, look at the money you made this weekend. Go for it.

The original XXX was awful. I saw the trailer for XXX State of the Union, and the scary thing is, it looks better than the first one. But, that's not saying too much.

That's right kiddies, when your wasted and stoned out of your mind, you too can make movies.
The only sad thing is, if they were really wasted and stoned these movie might be good.

Man, at least this doesn't have Vin Diesel. It reminds of that stupid thing in the preview (for the first one) where he says "the things I would do for my county"
and then you see him making out with some woman, I had this incredibly annoying people behind who just cracked up and started, and they kept repeating the line over and over and over and they kept laughing nonstop. That is one of my worst theatre experiences.

Vin Diesel
Bad career moves by Vin Diesel. First, he didn't reprise his role in the sequel to Fast and Furious and that was just as successful as the first film without him. Now, he also abandoned the sequel to his second most successful film. His other projects have been disappointing, especially the Pitch Black sequel, which opened well, but disappeared quickly afterwards. Now, his latest project, The Pacifier looks like a Kindergarten Cop wannabe. His career's going down the toilet.

He is rather stupid to not reprise them.

I wasnt a big fan of the fast and the furious films ,but i agree he should have made the sequal.the franchise was a money maker ,on the other hand xxx 2 would and will be a disaster with or without him so i can see him not wanting to do it.so far the only movie ive liked of his was man apart, even though it didnt make a lot of money and was critisized pretty harshly. It was a pretty basic movie but i enjoyed it anyway.as for this new movie he has coming out called pacifier ,this is the first time im hearing about it and know nothing about it.

Here's the trailer:

It's pretty much a Kindergarten Cop clone. There's even a scene where he beats up an adult for bullying a kid.
