Singapore to host 3-D film fest


May 01, 2008 3DX: 3D Film & Entertainment Technology Festival will kick off Nov. 19 with an international selection of films including "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D" from New Line and Walden Media and "Fly Me to the Moon" from Belgium's nWave Pictures. 3DX is sponsored by the host country's Media Development Authority, a government agency charged with regulating the entertainment industry in Singapore, which is emerging as a media hotbed in Asia. "3DX will provide a world stage and convergence point for filmmakers and technology companies to showcase their works for trade and consumer audiences," MDA CEO Christopher Chia said.
