Armond White
So bungled up with fashionable ambivalence about the Iraq War that every single behavioral detail is not just prejudicial but wrong. [More]

"Fashionable ambivalence"? Is White criticizing this film for being too political, or not political enough?

He hates anything that's even vaugely "liberal." To him, thinking Iraq was moronic is a "fashionable position" rather than a sensible judgement.

It's hilarious how easy it is to spot where he pulled out his thesaurus to find some different words.

I can imagine this douche just sitting around, checking RT every day to find the next target. "This one has 95% after 20 reviews... Time to dust off the ol' Thesaurus and get to work." He's about as deep as a plate, as unpredictable as the Tokyo Metro and has no more intellectual proficiency than the gum I just scraped off my sneakers.

haha...that's so funny because the one review I actually read of his (it was a while ago - I just settle for his blurb now because I REFUSE to give his site any traffic), but as I read it, I noticed that almost every sentence had a word that BARELY meant what he was using it for. I remember thinking, 'this jackass must write his review then go back through it and replace every word he can with some obscure synonym he finds listed in his thesaurus'. Every word so barely fits into context, it's blatantly obvious that that's what he's done.

And what's worse, I don't think he has any idea what half of them really mean.
