As a result, the gumshoe gets mixed up with the crippled general's troubled daughters: Charlotte and her younger, sex-crazed sister, Camilla. Although Charlotte is the smarter of the two, she has still managed to become involved in a potentially dangerous affair with Eddie Mars, a married gangster whose wife has mysteriously disappeared.
