The embryo, fertilized, is implanted in the abdomen of Dr. Hesse, who intends to abort it after the first trimester. Instead, the somber Dr. Alexander Hesse starts developing an array of new emotions and insists on carrying the baby to full term. To aid the two doctors in their research, although she does not know what they are really up to, Dr. Diana Reddin helps the two men gain access to the laboratory. In the process, Hess and Reddin fall in love, and Hesse confesses that he is pregnant and with her child. After some initial protest she becomes very supportive. Mayhem follows when Hesse is forced to hide out in a maternity clinic disguised as a woman while being pursued by his former boss. [More]

Reviews for Junior
As a comedy, Junior has its share of laughs -- but no more than its share.
A história é absurda, mas esta é uma daquelas comédias leves que servem como bom passatempo.
The plot is a more fertile ground for comedy than the 'sperm milkshake' that made Schwarzenegger and Danny De Vito brothers in Reitman's Twins.
A fleecy romantic caper with a dusting of feminism, the picture is basically a one-joke movie successfully nursed by director Ivan Reitman.
It's goofy and ridiculous and preposterous, and yet it makes you feel good, and there is something oddly heartwarming about the sight of this macho guy melting with feelings of protectiveness and maternal concern.
A pregnant Schwarznegger? Whose brainchild was this? A repugnantly lame and unfunny comedy.
For the right audience, Junior may deliver. But there's a whole lot of pregnancy to go through first.
Reutman's comedy is to this year's holiday season what Mrs. Doubtfire was to last year's, a funny but utterly conventional and obvious farce about genre and maternity.
Junior demands more range from its leading man than he's capable of giving. The predictable result is a big-budget mess more likely to elicit groans than laughter.
