Reviews
Kicking and Screaming is really about the biggest things there are: our dreams in a lonely, chaotic world where we think we know God, only to find He's not so much dead as just not answering the phone.
Mixing the neurotic drive of Woody Allen with the urbane wit of Stillman, this well-written debut presents an uncompromising take on guys who simply can't let go of college--and their prolonged adolescence.
Charts the aimlessness and ennui of four insufferable, maturation-adverse college grads with relaxed realism.
Not much happens, but it captures that moment between college and the real world with perceptive [occasionally glib] accuracy.
Smart and well-performed - captures a time and a feeling with grace and intelligence.
