MacMurray plays Chris Heyward, a widower and dusty rancher who finds love at first sight when he sees New York City songwriter and socialite Kay Kingsley perform at a charity rodeo event. Kay returns his affections and in short order the lovebirds marry and travel to Heyward's backwater ranch in Wyoming, where Kay meets her two stepchildren. Pampered Kay proves to be a fish out of water, inept at her daily chores and prone to trouble. One of the funniest bits in the film is when Kay unwittingly kills her neighbor's cherished bull. Songs from the film were written by author Kay Swift and include "Sagebrush Lullaby," "The Man with the Big Felt Hat," and "Once you find your Guy." [More]
