Moving quickly along with the beat of its techno soundtrack, SHADOW HOURS follows Holloway as he tries to make a new life for himself. Working the graveyard shift at a seedy Los Angeles gas station provides hours of boredom and a ringside seat to the craziness of Los Angeles as Holloway, a recovered drug addict tries desperately to survive, with only his pregnant wife Chloe (Rebecca Gayheart) to support him. When rich, Porsche-driving "writer" Stuart Chapell (Peter Weller) drives in seeking help with nocturnal research for his new novel, Holloway's attempts at maintaining a normal life are derailed. What starts as a seemingly innocent tour of the exotic and shocking nightlife of Los Angeles quickly transforms into a drug-soaked and decadent descent into debauchery. As Holloway and Chapell continue their nocturnal explorations, a string of bizarre murders plagues the city and Holloway soon realizes that his soul is in jeopardy. In his headlong plunge back into addiction and further into Chapell's world of sex, drugs, violence and ritual, Holloway risks the loss of his wife and realizes he is fighting for his own redemption.
