The two are a likely match, but their first terrible encounter clouds their perceptions of each other. Meanwhile, ladies man Jack Wickam (Henry Maguire) misrepresents his true motive and gains ground in Elizabeth's affections. This Mormon version of PRIDE AND PREJUDICE offers a modern day spin on Jane Austen's timeless novel. Though not overtly religious, basic issues of the Mormon Church find their way into the story line. [More]

Reviews for Pride & Prejudice
Marks the next step in the evolution of the burgeoning Mormon film genre.
A better way to combine the church and Jane Austen? Rent the Colin Firth version of Pride and Prejudice and read the Book of Mormon during the slow bits.
It's a remarkable ensemble that becomes even more impressive in light of the fact that all are relative unknowns (at least for the time being).
Probably won't be of much interest to those outside of its target audience.
A cute, well-produced film that suffers only in its slow pace and unfortunate editing.
Feels like 10% Austen and 90% unpublished varsity show at Brigham Young University.
Awkward comic timing and uneven performances spoil the desired effect.
Falls as flat on its face as a teenage girl trying on her first pair of high heels.
The acting, peppered with performers making their film debuts, is largely awful.
Anyone familiar with the book or BBC miniseries (or over the age of 6) will not be surprised by the outcome, except for how wholly unengaging and tedious it is made here.
