Young men do not have sex with other men in their teens and then become "straight." They go into the closet, suffer from internalized homophobia, or decide to get married for all the wrong reasons, a la Jim McGreevey. This movie doesn't sound "sophisticated" -- it sounds idiotic, as is anyone who would actually buy into its essentially homophobic premise! Why would gay audiences flock to see something so stupid? Talk about "sexual fluidity" may be fashionable these days but so is talk about the down-low, men who have sex with other men but insist that they're "straight." This movie doesn't have the intelligence to deal with all those others. (Reply to this) |
