Trailer Bulletin: The Bank Job
Like a British history lesson, only with better editing. And more bullets.
The Bank Job doesn't open until March 7, but why wait 'til then to see Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows in ripped-from-the-headlines bank-robbin' action, when you can check out the trailer now?
The Roger Donaldson-directed thriller is based on a real-life London bank robbery which baffled the public for years. Read more in the official synopsis below:
In September 1971, thieves tunneled into the vault of a bank in London's Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewelry worth over three million pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared -- the result of a 'D' Notice, gagging the press. This film reveals what was hidden for the first time. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family -- a story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.
Murder? Corruption? British accents? Sounds like this was a script tailor-made for Statham. Click on the link below to see for yourself!

![]() on Jan 15 2008 07:28 AM I love Stathom when there's no choreographed fighting. Sure he's a cool fighter, but he can act as well. Lock Stock, Snatch... if this is a solid story without all the action fluff, I'm in. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 15 2008 10:15 AM So tired of Jason Statham doing the same stuff over and over again. If he really wants to be the British Bruce Willis (which he clearly does) he needs to widen his range a bit. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 15 2008 11:02 AM haha...nathan, cuz willis has so much range too right? 16 blocks...aka Die Hard 3.5, the Elderly Years. Sin City, Lucky Number Slevin? c'mon...don't give him too much credit. both are about the same guy. if it ain't broke...don't fix it. just don't do any more cartoony action flix like Trans 2. that kinda sucked. at least he didn't kick himself in the balls with his action career the way Gerard Butler did by releasing a chic flick(PS, I'm Haunting You). c'mon...let the guy do what he does best, KICK...2SS... on Jan 15 2008 01:54 PM I don't know where this Statham guy comes from, his movies are awful mindless retarded action flicks that make no sense, he's a p u s s y and his movies are terrible. If he dies in a car accident tomorrow I wouldn't mind at all. JD (Reply to this) |

on Jan 15 2008 02:08 PM walking dead sounds like he has a man crush on Statham, cause he sounds all butt-hurt. I think this movie could be pretty good. Guess we will have to wait and see. Lock, Stock....and Snatch were really good movies. Crank, was so-so....ending was kinda lame, and I have no effing clue how they are going to fix that paradox when the "sequel" to it comes out..But he is a good actor as long as its not Transporter 2 :) :) (Reply to this) |

on Jan 15 2008 02:55 PM calm down walkingdeath, did statham run over your dog? This looks better than the italian job (aka the mini cooper short film). Snatch was badass and had style. Some people dont like british accents but I think its funny. if you need proof, watch the office on BBC. (Reply to this) |
