De4ective Detectiv3 writes: on Nov 09 2009 04:51 AM Well, Well, Well, the things you learn on aintitcool. Jurassic Park was originally going to be made entirely w/ puppets if they couldn't sort the cg out? Would have killed to see that. Steven Spielberg might be a magician w/ the camera but that would be a test of even his skills. Still aniticpating 'The Wolfman' movie no matter what anyone says, the fact that they can attract a talent like Danny Elfman to score the movie proves they must have something here. Elfman only works on high profile movies that usually are good quality. His Terminator Salvation score was a little disappointing, but that was the least of the movies problems. And so what if Mark Romanek didn't get to direct 'Wolfman', the guy has only directed like one movie - One Hour Photo! Visually he's an interesting director, most music video directors are, but I would take Joe Johnston any day over Romanek. Johnston's future looks much brighter; I could see why they gave him the Captain America movie after what he did with the Rocketeer, for a PG movie it falls just short of greatness, I still thought the action in it was better than 'Iron Man'. Gordon Franklin Terry Sr writes: on Nov 09 2009 08:56 AM THE WOLFMAN trailer looks TERRIFIC. I wonder if movie-goers felt the way I do when they anticipated Lon Chaney, Jr. in THE WOLF MAN with Claude Rains, Bela Lugosi, and Maria Ouspenskaya ("even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolf-bane blooms and the moon is shining bright"--Curt Sidomak) ---unforgettable words (Reply to this) |

Bigbrother writes: on Nov 09 2009 11:33 AM I just worry that they gave too much away with the trailer, Anthony Hopkins expression when he's addressing Del Toro and telling him "He's done terrible terrible things". You know what I'm sayin. (Reply to this) |

David W. writes: on Nov 09 2009 02:32 PM For some strange reason, "The Wolfman" looks excellent to me. The intial thought of the remake made me want to hate it right then and there, but after watching the trailer a few times, it kind of grew on me. I think it's a combination of the mythology of the film, Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins, the photography, and the make-up. I'm really looking to this. (Reply to this) |
