What an ignorant, bitter and subjective review. Why a right wing Tabloid like 'The Mail' is even given credence on this site is beyond me.

You have completely missed the point of the movie and I doubt your bitterness even allowed you to finish watching all of it. No where in the movie is it stated or even inferred that the prison warden is a 'Protestant'. YOU choose to make that assumption according to your own agenda. There were also Catholic prison wardens in the H Blocks.

Nowhere in the film is there even a mention of the IRA from Bobby sands or any other prisoners yet you choose to write 80% of your 'review' about the IRA and Bobby Sands even though there is not even a back story in the movie even remotely politicised.

Loyalist prisoners in the H Blocks even admitted that they admired Bobby Sands and what he was protesting about. Even they ignored politics on this issue yet a bitter man like yourself can't take it upon himself to review a film which is about humanity and the brutal and harrowing human horror story that the hunger strikes were.

Stick to your BNP love-in with the 'Mail'. Its your level

I posted a 'toned down' response on the Daily Mail website (anticipating that they screen all comments) but they havn't posted it...surprise, surprise...

By the way, I just noticed that this guy gave The Dark knight 2 stars out of 5 because he "couldn't follow the plot"...Batman = Good guy...Joker = Bad guy...they fight. That plot needs alot of thought alright! Explains alot about this 'review' I guess...

His review wasn't even a film review, but him portraying his political view as if this film was a speech at a Labour party conference.
He never said anything about a single performance, nor the way (if it did) that it connected and entertained the audience. I want to know if this is emotional, dramatic and stylised in a mature way that makes it a great film, not whether or not political trash like the Mail hate terrorists.

You sir, are a complete idiot! It speaks volumes for "the mail" that you are so incredibly narrow-minded, and have an agenda with everything you write. Grow up

I too posted a comment on the Mail website. No bad language, but I made my views known. Guess what? It hasn't shown up either. God it's a vile newspaper.
