Reviews
It's a consistently amusing tale thanks largely to the eminently watchable cast.
One of the laziest rom-com scripts in memory ... the only joy in the film is the way the actors approach each ludicrously silly set piece.
Between them, young love and bacteria bloom. Between us, bacteria consumes the movie.
There I sat through one lame joke after another, with that crap eating grin on my face, wondering how so much good could go so bad so fast.
Ben Stiller is either a member of Dysfunctions R Us, or else he's making a plea to be the next Woody Allen -- but even Allen himself couldn't save "Along Came Polly"
A lot of energy is expended -- and wasted -- in this implausible comedy about opposites attracted to each other.
It looks like Universal Studios had their script doctors work on this one, but clearly nobody could come up with the right prescription.
