5% for the Cable Guy (not the Jim Carrey version), and Cellular and The Sentinel weren't terrible, they just weren't...well...good. But I'll see Be Kind Rewind cuz it looks less like an Adam Sandler movie and more like a good movie. Also, a pulse-pounding escapist thriller doesn't need to make sense, just as long as you try not to pay attention to the plot. That's why I wasn't sorry I saw Jumper. And that's also why I'm seeing Vantage Point

Have to say be kind rewind bordered on tacky, cliche for a stretch. Saw it higher than the fifties, though. Didnt see that coming.
As for larry the cable guy, I give it 14. because I'm optimistic in others begrudgingly fresh idiocy. Or does that make me a pessimist?

Basinger should have imagined those guys were alec baldwin and maybe she'd have acted better in it. she was horrible. maybe the dude meant "phone booth" and not cellular...which was 100 times better.

i loved Eternal Sunshine but Be Kind Rewind looks bad from the trailers, and it looks like one of those that starts off decent...goes SO slow that it gets worse and worse and by the time you're done you wish you could call Doc Brown and go back in time. amazing idea that based on the trailer looks executed very very poorly. not sure if i'm gonna catch it this weekend or not now...

I give witless protection the 2%. Dude is right tho, I believe vantage point will be on par with cellular and the sentinel which means it'll suck hog balls. I was hoping Be kind rewind would be decent but I admit the trailer was never doing it for me so I'll be kind and fast forward thru this one.

I haven't seen The Signal, but it sounds to me like a pretty blatant ripoff of Stephen King's novel, Cell. Anyone else read it?

As for Witless...if there is any justice in the world, or any sense in the realm of the critics, or any taste among moviegoers, it will tank, and hard. But since not everyone has both sense and taste, I'll guess 3%.

Wow, I really could've gone my whole life without seeing Larry the Cable Guy naked. I think I went blind for about 5 seconds.

Oh, and anyone think it's ironic that the Tomatometer is 24% since it just looks like one long episode of 24? (I'm sure the meter won't stay there tho....)

I don't quite remember when Cell came out, but I know The Signal played at last year's Sundance Festival, because I couldn't get tickets, but that means they were working on it before the book came out, so it's probably just one of those coincidences of similar plots.
