As Barker continues to parlay his undercover skills in regular assignments with his new partner, rookie Ellis Dove (Travis Fimmel), he also becomes the target of a covert internal investigation led by fellow agent Ray Beaumont (Larry Gilliard Jr.). Although THE BEAST garnered a devoted following with its gritty tone and style, it only lasted one season due to Swayze’s deteriorating health after his cancer diagnosis.
