Though they were once inseparable, young... Set in the turbulent sociopolitical landscape of the early 1970s, this comic drama offers a gentle and intimate focus on an Ohioan family's coming of age. Though they were once inseparable, young brothers William and Clive experience a period of increasing estrangement when Clive's gift for mathematics causes William to covet the attention piled upon his genius older brother. As a result, Clive begins to shut William out of his life. The boys' father (William Hurt), meanwhile, is fascinated with their generation's experimental nature, while their mother (Rita Wilson) offers priceless insight into who they are and how they relate to each other. Michelle Trachtenberg and Julianna Margulies co-star in this directorial debut from actor Chad Lowe. BEAUTIFUL OHIO features strong performances from veteran actors and promising newcomers alike.
