As professor of Media Studies and Communications at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Sut Jhally became well known for taking a critical look at media's affects on our culture. As the founder and director of the Media Education Foundation, Jhally has built a career around critiquing pop culture. Jhally provides a much-needed critical eye in a world so heavily influenced by media, making him a favorite lecturer in the Pioneer Valley's five-college community. In his latest documentary for the Media Education Foundation, Jhally takes a stab at the American news media's portrayal of a post 9-11 world.
