She's in town to investigate allegations of police misconduct and quickly senses what's going on. Repeatedly clashing with the detective, she urges him to face the truth and stand up to his responsibilities as an officer of the law. Reviews
A fine gumbo of a movie, featuring a brew of police corruption seasoned by an unusual love affair.
Moody, sexy, cool thriller. Might be the best film to come out of the careers of Quaid and Barkin.
A darn solid modern-noir mystery with two great performances and a New Orleans setting you can almost smell.
