For those who appreciate dude-speak and bozo humor, this is a very funny film.

This time out, our two vacuous but loveable teenagers are thrown off a cliff and sent to Hell, where they are tortured with a succession of stylishly realized nightmares. The duo need to escape the fires of Hades in enough time to make it to the "battle of the bands" their rock group has entered. In order to free themselves they engage the "Grim Reaper" in a gut-wrenching series of contests testing the limits of human discipline and intelligence. Victorious, they return to Earth to battle the pair of evil robotic doubles who originally killed them, and have since taken their places -- wreaking havoc with the dudes' personal lives. [More]

Reviews for Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey
One of the most worthwhile sequels of recent years, maybe funnier than the original as it intelligently expands the potential for the surreal and it ties up all the loose ends managing, quite remarkably, to give pointlessness a purpose.
[The] filmmakers might have gotten more mileage if they'd rooted their adventure a bit more in reality.
Has there ever been a more perfect role for Keanu Reeves than floppy-haired, dim-brained high school slacker Ted "Theodore" Logan?
...the various elements that made Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure such an unexpected delight are almost entirely absent here.
A riot of visual invention and weird humor that works on its chosen sub-moronic level, and on several others as well...
It's hard not to appreciate two guys who can invest a cry of "Whoa!" with such pure ecstasy and who think that Joan of Arc is Noah's wife.
More mindless airhead time-traveling fun. The hilarious William Sadler gives the best portrayal of Death since Bengt Ekerot in THE SEVENTH SEAL.
