Michael Moore Laying Low
The Los Angeles Times has an article on how Michael Moore, the controversial director of "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Bowling for Columbine," is spending his time after the November election – chopping logs and catching up on sleep. He's still bummed that Bush has won the election, but offers a way for the Democrats to win the next election. "The way to win is to run someone people are familiar with, and trust: Tom Hanks, Paul Newman, Martin Sheen," the Times quoted. Even though he's laying low for now, it won't be long before we hear from him again.

on Nov 28 2004 06:09 AM Michael Moore is right about that anyway... Actors have often been better political candidates than other professions for two reasons. First, actors have enormous recognition (at least the well-known ones). Secondly, more than almost any other field, if an actor has ANY kind of scandelous past, people already know about it and DON'T CARE. I for one think that as long as they don't do it often enough to look like morons, having actors as candidates gives a great shot at the oval office. Who wouldn't vote for Martin Sheen? Hell, the man already has experience. :D (Reply to this) |
![]() on Nov 29 2004 06:26 AM I have no problem them voicing politcal oppion. Stop with the stupid statements! "A vote for Bush is like legalizing rape!" Go back to your little bubble world. You have no sence of reality. I am sorry, these people are so out of touch with the rest of us. They only know East coast and West coast. There is no middle America (fly over states). And don't get me started with the other side. They are no better. If they had there way. We would be living back in the days where sex and other issues would be kept in the darkness of the furtherest room in the house. Okay my rant is over! Donna A. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 30 2004 04:12 AM Har, har, econmists. I wish people would stop taking cheap shots at MM for being overweight. Lots of people are overweight, and I'm afraid it has absolutely no bearing on their integrity. It kind of annoys me that he's always bagging out people while not really suggesting better ways of doing things, though. If I ever get the chance I tell him that he ought to run for President. Then, if he gets in, he can find out how awful it must be, and how hard it is to do what's right. Which isn't to say I'm on the President's side. I wore a black armband for a week after he got voted back in, and when people asked what I was mourning for I said 'I'm mourning for the hope and sanity of mankind'. At least no-one made any remarks about my weight. Instead they were all on the subject of my mental stability- or lack thereof. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Dec 01 2004 07:32 PM I'm tired I wish Moore would just shut up. It's amazing that people continue to listen to this guy, even though practically every film he's ever done has been blasted for questionable factual content and just down right misinformation. (Reply to this) |
