Martin Harvey had the wonderful idea to bond his family and make a couple of bucks on the side. Together, they travel to the Caribbean to sail up the coast in a recently inherited yacht that Harvey hopes to sell. He didn't count on the obnoxious macho captain of the ship or seems to be a better man than Harvey is. [More]

Reviews for Captain Ron
Kurt Russell is the only thing that makes this movie tolerable - and just barely at that.
The scenery is pretty but the movie never makes one wish to be in it.
The physical comedy doesn't always work, but it is a pretty good effort as comedies go.
If we lived in a just universe, Captain Ron, a farce filmed in and around the Devil's Triangle, would simply have vanished into another dimension.
