Sure is taking them a long time to get this movie off the ground. What's the holdup?

I really hope I like this movie better than the prequel. What "incredible" events?

Lion Witch and wardrobe was a TERRIBLE film!
I got half way to being excited by L,W&W, when it came out, hoping for a close foll up to Lord of the rings.

What a load of shit! I cant believe it was a rival for King Kong!

Liam neesons voice was pale in comparison to James Earl Jones lion king voice. Bad casting! Bad SFX, and Aslan was hardly in it, and when he was he mostly talked. The aslan death scene on the table was emotionless and didnt leave you caring. I remember the same scene in the 70s animated film, and that scene was very emotional and powerfull.

In fact, i cant believe im wasting my time discussing it. But il end by saying, Prince caspian, who cares????

I personally liked it during my first viewing. After that it was just the oppoite. Horrible sets, dull acting, and a mediocre script ruined it for me.

Plot: everything is fucked up, and now they have to find Jesus the Lion. Im sorry, but Narnia bores me.

Yeah, I'm kinda curious as to just how long this is going to take. I was really surprised by the first movie, but if you ask me, it was Georgie Henley who stole the show as Lucy.

I thought the first was below average not terrible just below average. But honestly why is it taking so long for this movie to get going. That is probably a sign of a crappy movie.

This will be amazing. The Lion , the Witch, and the Wardrobe was such a faithful adaptation of the book and was actually better than the book in many respects and this new film will be tremendous.

I hope this is better than the first one. I love the book series, and the first film was just an atrocious disappointment.

the book sucked?
the book is more than plot, its great narration, and long living ideals. Its challenging about your decisions. The true magic of these books is a richer thicker after taste than say harry potter and that magic is increased with the seven as a whole, for some reason the last battle makes the whole seem brighter.

The movie was fine, I also loved its aftertaste for days more than the movie, even when i saw its last half on tv again...

Can anybody say, "a message board with robots?" It's amazing how one person says negative things about the first Narnia, and then, all of a sudden, just about the whole message board follows in. Which is weird how it has a high public rating otherwise on any other websites, including this one. Hmmm...

Screw this movie and screw disney for DOING this movie. The first one sucked. It felt like a PG version of the lord of the rings except...a lot more boring...with that said I will see the 2nd one.

The Narnia films are meant to be family entertainment, not as dark as Lord of the Rings. If you are expecting LOTR, than you are already going to be disappointed. However, for a family film, it was pretty good, I went to see it twice in theatres (w/o taking any kids). I expect the sequel to be more of the same, which will be fine IMO.

Also, trash the movie as much as you like, but be careful trashing the book. It is a classic, undisputably a remarkable piece of fiction, and if you don't particularly like it, it is more personal taste than poor writing.

Since I hated C.S. Lewis and his crappy Narnia books, I have no inclination to see this film. That series was nothing more than an extension of his illogical Christian apologetics, anyway.

He's not even a good writer. He uses all sorts of cheap plot devices (like the numerous convenient appearances of Aslan during any deperate situation) to convey his opinions on Jesus and his hatred of unbelievers. Other than the Narnia series, none of his writings ever achieved any sort of critical or commercial success, mainly because they were awful. Remember The Screwtape Letters? *gag*

Only die-hard Protestants like his books, and I'm really disappointed that The Passion of the Christ for Kids did so well at the box office.

Prince Caspian
When you can write a book, never mind a series of books that can enthrall children and adults alike over a period of 50 years, then and only then will you be qualified to critique C.S. Lewis. If you know anything about the author, you'll know that he was part of a writers club with none other than J.R.R Tolkien! They constantly debated and mulled over ideas from one to the other. I am neither a Protestant or religious and I along with many millions of other people in this world that can take ideas of morality and pass them on to our children. Surely that makes this world a better place? With regards to the film TLTW&TW, Andrew Adamson has taken the core material, along with excellent casting and created movie magic. SCOFF NOT!

Sorry, but I must scoff a little. As a child and a young adult, these books caught my imagination and enthralled me. However, the movie did nothing of the sort. I think the main problem was that it completely lacked any sense of wonder.

Think about the first time you see Spielberg's dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Or the Argonath in Fellowship of the Ring. Spielberg and Jackson know how to evoke a sense of wonder and amazement from their viewers. However, I got none of that from LWW. It was so matter-of-fact, like "hmm, a talking beaver" and "gee, look at the resurrected lion." There was no sense of grand scale or importance; just kids escaping a not-so-menacing witch. I hope Prince Caspian does better, but I'm not holding my breath.

I loved the first movie - saw it twice in cinema's - thought it was great on the big screen. a few places the b'ground looked too blue-screened but all the other graphics were great! A good, clean family movie (not even any blood shown in the movie) that was attention grabbing.and prince caspian looks even better! (i perfer prince caspian over L, W & W anyway..)
and be careful dissing the books, they are masterpieces. Every1 has personal tastes but just cus u dont like 'em doesn't mean they are not well written.
