Karen Allen Back as Marion Ravenwood in Indiana Jones 4
Does she still have the hots for Indy?
Speaking in a live feed before a raptured audience at Comic-Con, Steven Spielberg announced that Karen Allen, better known as Marion Ravenwood in the first Indy movie, will join Harrison Ford, Ray Winstone, and Shia LaBeouf in Indiana Jones 4.
Many remember Marion as the old flame of Dr. Jones, who joined him in his quest to keep the Ark of Covenant from falling into the hands of Nazi agents.
The movie is currently in production for a worldwide release on May 22, 2008. Look for an update from our team at Comic-Con.

lostharvestmovie writes: on Jul 26 2007 06:58 PM karen allen was clearly the best thing about the very great "Raiders of the Lost Ark"; it was a great character and the relationship was great; it was the classic boy gets girl again as subplot.... this is great! (Reply to this) |

High School With Money writes: on Jul 26 2007 08:15 PM I'd almost bet money that Shia is Marion's "secret" son, and Indy won't know until film's end that Shia is his son as well. Wait, wasn't Abner killed before Raiders? (Reply to this) |

speedy13 writes: on Jul 26 2007 08:16 PM Agree with other posters. I thought the Capshaw character was completely annoying. The worst of the Indy women by far. I like that Karen Allen is back in the fold. It is kinda refreshing to have an actress closer to Harrison Ford's age than what they usually do in movies. (Reply to this) |

Elixor writes: on Jul 26 2007 08:36 PM Definately good news. Marion's a great character. With Abner back in the fold (I guess Marion was wrong in thinking that her father was dead), is there much doubt left that this movie is going full circle back to Ark of the Covenant land? (Reply to this) |

Bane Of Anubis writes: on Jul 26 2007 09:38 PM Except now it's the big red machine trying to get the goods... then a young James Bond comes forward, pistol whips Indy, shoots Shia just b/c, and runs away w/ whomever Indy's trying to hook up with. Then Robert Langdon appears, telling Bond the secrets of the ark... Bond pops Langdon, kills the commis, puts on his sunglasses, and opens up the ark... Gotta wear shades... Seriously, though, these movies are great... Capshaw was fine as far as bimbos go, but Allen's got the Margot Kidder, Lois Lane spunk -- the guess that Shia's her and Indy's lovechild seems pretty spot on. (Reply to this) |

Gimy writes: on Jul 27 2007 05:34 AM what is wrong with you cats? this crap is old news. it was announced months ago. only reason i remember is i thought i read "krista" instead of karen and you nerds flipped it and ripped it...like she's jesus' wife or some garbage. i'm glad you guys are all positive about it...since i haven't seen her in a movie or ANYTHING in like 50 years. sorry but i'm still negative nelly on this one, not one thing i've seen has given me the "ok...might be good!" vibe. although i've changed my tune a bit on Shia since seeing Transformers, he was decent in that, but this flick just seems like desperateration (Reply to this) |

Sputnik99 writes: on Jul 27 2007 11:23 AM Yeah, but is she in it just for a cameo, or just at the end of the movie for some "Here's a reunion of all your old lovers, Indy" scene? I think High School With Money is on the right track. Shia's either a secret son or Marion comes to Indy at the beginning of the movie and says "Here. This is your son. Bond with him." Still, nice to see a bit of continuity in the Indy films. (Reply to this) |

Huntressmoon13 writes: on Jul 28 2007 05:30 PM Great news, and she still looks amazing. I was stoked when she had the small appearance in "Sandlot" a few years ago, and I've been hoping she would come back, even for some (excuse the pun) "Indi" work. The only bummer is hello, talk about a spoiler for the plot... *Sigh* Comes with the RT territory though... (Reply to this) |
