Arkoff. Keir Dullea plays the title character in a film characterized by its psychedelic imagery and go-go sensibilities. He is terrorized by his uncle and haunted by his own past before embarking on a pattern of debauchery. Originally released with an "X" rating, this film has lost its edge over time, although the final orgy sequence is 20 minutes of erotic filmmaking that offers release after the teasting first hour which acts ostensibly as art cinema. John Huston shines in a supporting role. [More]

This awful attempt to do a movie biography of the Marquis de Sade falls flat, with embarrassing performances from all of the actors. Full Review |

Not quite as silly as it looks and sounds, but it comes very close. Full Review |

Essentially the film is Caligula set 1700 years later, complete with washed-out photography and no-name actresses willing to show off their, ahem, talents. Full Review |

A self-indulgent excuse to employ what now looks like very dated psychedelic 1960s filmmaking techniques. Full Review |

It's dull, boring, and really pretentious. Full Review |
