Reviews for Deep Blue Sea
Despite scene after scene of mayhem, Harlin manages to create and and sustain extremely well-coiled tension.
Deep Blue Sea is an example of how expert action filmmaking and up-to-the-minute visual effects can transcend a workmanlike script and bring excitement to conventional genre material.
The thrills are such a rush, however, and the balance of digitized and analog effects is generally so satisfying that pic’s sheer dumbness finally becomes part of the fun.
