What kind of sunglasses is Viggo wearing?

I think he is wearing Chanel.

I like Viggo but am I the only one who thinks his acting is a bit awkward (one dimensional)? First, he's not very good with his voice acting. Maybe it's his particular tone that I find it annoying. Second, he doesn't have many facial expressions/acts.

What say you?

The critics were on crack thinking this film was "brilliant". It was unnessacarily violent trash for the sake of being as "shocking" as possible and never actually resolving itself in the end. I liked A History Of Violence but this film was pretty terrible. Absolute waste of 2 hours

I can see why you'd say that but I think he is pretty good at doing what the role requires. I am not quite sure what you mean as far as voice acting goes, but if you are talking about his accent then I have to disagree. As far as sounding Russian, I think he played it to perfection. It is a bit grating and raspy but I think that works for all the roles he's played so far. To date I think the only time it hasn't worked for me was in Carlito's way, sounded a bit silly with the accent.

Could you explain what you mean by facial expressions? Are you talking about his different expressions of his moods or just in general? I'm not really sure how one would go about gaging an actor's facial expressions, I would think it depends on the movie he/she is in that determines how they look/act, or what the director asks them to do in terms of that.

Heh, try on Videodrome for size if you want tasteful violence and a neatly packaged resolution. :-p

Eastern Promises, I think, is one of the most satisfying movie of 2007, despite Viggo's "Look ma!, no undies" pose in the beautiful yet violent bath house scene. Beside that, the performances were awesome, the ending was absolutely fantastic, and the twist was equally satisfying.

Great movie.
