Hop Aboard the Fantasticar!!
Dodge has put together a nice partnership with Fox for "Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer." The slick yet odd-looking Fantasticar will come complete with ejector seats, advanced weaponry, and built-in product placement.
Click here to get a peek at the team's shiny gold disc, which can speed up to 550mph and get 30,000 feet into the air when needed. The thing breaks up into three sections, all the pieces can fly, and the whole thing's covered with Dodge logos, apparently.

Nah, just kiddin'. Thing looks precisely what the "Fantastic Four" should be driving: High-tech, glitzy, and full of nifty features. We'll see how it runs on June 15th.

"Ha, they need a car!"

![]() on Apr 18 2007 08:41 AM That Dodge product placement is ridiculous. Why not replace the FF uniform with Nascar style suits. I'm sure they could fit in another hundred or so product logos. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Apr 18 2007 10:15 AM I wouldn't have noticed it was a Dodge had this not been presented. Now I'm going to go out of my way to see it in the film. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 18 2007 10:36 AM It is all cool!!! I am ok with this after all this makes the movie cheaper for the studio since they might have made money from this. DODGE paid a hefty amount and beat out ford, gmc and some other companies too. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 18 2007 11:47 AM don't hate the playa.. Lame: "Reed, pull the Dodge(tm) Fantasticar around the block and pick us up, would you?" "Yes, dear. Did you notice how only a Dodge(tm) Fantasticar has the smooth handling?" "Oh, totally!. And the interior of the Dodge(tm) is so much more lush..." NOT lame: simply having the fucking logo on the thing, maybe devote one screen shot to it and one punch-line. In other words, 'Damn, people. Get Over It. It's FF2, not Batman or Doctor Zhivago.' on Apr 18 2007 11:54 AM In reply to this comment (#861942) that dialogue was hilarious. you might be right, except you know they'll have a shot where the car drives up and stops with the camera framing DODGE perfectly. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 18 2007 01:52 PM I like product placements. Why? It makes the movie more realistic. Everywhere we go in life has advertisements, and to see an actor drinking a coke, or eating McDonald's French Fries, or driving a Dodge to me makes the movie more life-like. Who gives a rip. I agree with the previous poster, unless they say something like that in the movie, who cares what we see them driving. It of course can be abused, but I see nothing wrong with the Fantasticar. on Apr 18 2007 02:10 PM In reply to this comment (#861944) it's not realistic because it's always done in an obvious way to make people notice. and it dates a film. (Reply to this) |

on Apr 18 2007 06:42 PM I actually thought that the movie might be good, but then this piece-of-shit news came up, and I'm worried that it will be just another commercial heavy travesty. (Reply to this) |
