I think the reason the makers of FF2 don't really care to improve on the first one (haven't seen the 2nd one yet) is with the PG rating you get a much broader audience. My friend's 4 y/o kid doesn't give a crap about the development of the characters and thought the movie was awesome. I was pretty disappointed about the many plot holes of the 1st movie.
About Ocean's 13, even though this movie may be way better than the disappointing 2nd one, I don't see it making 55 million more (domestically) to surpass 12. I don't believe the first 2 had to compete with movies like SM3, Shrek3, Pirates3, FF2, Knocked Up, Harry Potter, Pixar, Evan Almighty and Transformers! For Oceans to make anywhere near what the first 2 made with that kind of competition is commendable. If anything, the studio should have released it again around Xmas.
And the comment about Waitress having stalled; Little Miss Sunshine I believe got to a wide release. Waitress is still in limited release. I think Waitress was the best movie of the summer I've seen so far, though I still haven't seen Shrek3, Oceans13, and Pirates3. I liked SM3 but the rushed ending and Tobey crying brought it down a bit for me. And Knocked Up was good but kind of uneven with a much more serious tone than 40y/o Virgin.

need to respect each other
These forums have become unwanted trash ground of personal attacks. What if many adults have a 4-year old inside their heart and may enjoy the movie?

Think we do not need to take every statement too personally.

Why is it that the awesome movies never sell?
Ocean's Thirteen was the best in the series, yet the worst grossing one. Stuff like Fantastic Four or Pirates (yes, it paled in comparison*), which pales in comparison sell more. That is just plain LAME.

*Pirates = overrated. I betcha half of the people who went to see it were dragged by their girlfriends so they can drool over Johnny Depp.

Yet again, you show all of us, and the world, that you are an immature moron who couldn't formulate a valid argument if your pathetic, little, insignificant, life depended upon it. Your constant reliance on ad hominem attacks against every person who disagrees with you only shows your stupidity. By the way, "retard" is a verb, not a noun, you simpleton. It means to slow or prevent advancement, which is pretty much what your comments do to every discussion on this site.

If it isn't planned yet, then I'll be very surprised. FF2 is doing pretty well so far in terms of Box office, and I heard there was sort of a cliffhanger ending.

Wrong, retard can be used as a noun, continue to use ad hominems in your attack of me using them just proves that you are a retard and that you are a hypocrite. Go away you are a joke.

P.S. If you are going to attack at least be correct, retard as a noun means a person who is mentally challenged, you fucking moron.

It is slang and it's an offensive term. Me pointing out the truth [that you are an idiotic, immature, moron] is not an attack of any kind. It's merely a statement of fact. It's a conclusion supported by your own juvinile remarks. And by the way, I am funny, but it is you who are the joke.

and before you say something like "UHH, NO! YOU'RE IN THE MINORITY THAT LIKED IT." look at this.

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/superman_returns/?critic=columns

76% from both critics and users. Hardly makes Superman Returns fans a minority.

The proper grammer is "WE smart people" not "US smart people." If you could actually count yourself among US, you'd know that. It's been said that it is better to remain silent and appear ignorant than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Thanks for further proving the point.

Oh so by your own admission me calling you or others retard is just me pointing out the truth. Try again dumbass. You are funny? You idea of funny is watching Barney make jokes. You are worthless and a walking joke. Try again little RETARD.

This is funny coming from the guy who thinks that retard is not a noun and can never be a noun. You lost, i am smart, you are not. How am i ignorant? Becuase unlike you i am right? Or is it because i attack people who think their opinion is fact?

If that is the case then why was it a bomb? Why is it that the only source you can use is a site that only maybe 10-20% of the population even uses thus meaning that only 75% of 20% of the country likes it meaning that the majority hate the movie.
