There's been a few random reports about what the "Fantastic Four" sequel is going to be called, and now (brace yourselves) we now have the absolute final news. Are you ready?

From SuperheroHype.com: "20th Century Fox has confirmed to Superhero Hype! that the "Fantastic Four" sequel has a new name - "Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer." The movie was previously known as "Fantastic Four and The Silver Surfer." The second film, directed by Tim Story, is set to hit theaters on June 15, 2007.

In the sequel, the enigmatic, intergalactic herald, The Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. As the Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben must unravel the mystery of The Silver Surfer and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy, Dr. Doom, before all hope is lost. I vote The Fantastic Four Returns
Rise of the Silver Surfer? Eh....that is better than AND the SS. I think that they need to go back to the drawing board AGAIN!! I thought the first movie was underrated, but I don't think that this sequel will have much hope. Thank goodness Spider-Man 3 is coming out earlier to save the comic book movie genre. This F4 sequel could be the next Superman IV or Batman & Robin. Too many bad ones will end the genre again. SM3 should save the genre though.

I just don't understand why they would make a sequel to one of the worst movies of last year? This movie was not good at all, and they wanna make a sequel to it?! This is Batman'89 all over again. They gotta restart this franchise and make it better RIGHT from the very beginning. This sequel is gonna be worse than the first one. It's just gonna be another style over substance POS

They're making a sequel because the first one was profitable, as simple as that.

Btw,IMO it had neither substance nor style :-)

Do you think they make sequels to movies because of their quality?

This movie could be pure crap and it would still make money. I just hope the Surfer doesn't end up looking like some terminator clone.

I bet the Sequel will be better than the first one , but thats not saying much . Doom was dispatched too quickly in the first part , he should be allowed to kick more ass in this one.

Will Galac-Sucks be in this one? I'm sorry but the first sucked so not going to go to the second. Just to see Jessica Alba in her underwear for 2.3 seconds isn't worth it.

but- do we know yet who is playing the silver surfer?- a solid casting choice could bring me from "definitely not seeing this" to "rent this later when im bored."

it wasn't until the CG movies came along that a neato Silver Surfer was possible... might be fun watching that... maybe... still haven't made my way through the first one....
