New Line Readies a Third (Final?) "Destination"
The horror fans knew it was just a matter of time -- and they were right. "Cheating Death: Final Destination 3" is set to start production in just a few weeks in Vancouver, and Variety brings us the first bit of casting news: Ryan Merriman ("The Ring Two," "Halloween: Resurrection"
and Mary Winstead (also of "The Ring Two," as well as TV's "Wolf Lake"
have signed on for the third "Destination." Returning from the original installment is the writing / directing team of Glen Morgan & James Wong, the genre filmmakers who combined to deliver "Willard," "The One," and several solid episodes of "The X-Files." As has been reported at various horror outlets, "Final Destination 3" will allegedly open with a horrific roller coaster crash -- and we all know what happens to those who avoid the deadly trip...

Aoiboy writes: on Mar 23 2005 12:04 AM I don't think these movies qualify as "horror movies", but anyway I agree: they're great fun. I don't know how do they come up with these horrible death sequences out of everyday situations or tools that we use in daily life. You gotta compliment their imagination... (Reply to this) |

Spike1967 writes: on Mar 23 2005 05:30 AM Glenn Morgan and James Wong are talkented guys. I loved the work they did on The X Files, and I thought the first Final Destination was a good first effort on their part. I wonder what made them want to do the third installment, instead of doing something original. I'm thinking probably money. (Reply to this) |
