Matthew Perry Has No Feelings
by Scott Weinberg | April 19, 2006
Discuss Article
Matthew Perry, best known as the consistently funny Chandler Bing on "Friends" and as an actor who invariably picks consistently bad films, has signed on to star in an indie comedy entitled "Numb," in which he will play the world's biggest grouch -- until he falls in love.

Says The Hollywood Reporter: "Matthew Perry has signed to star in "Numb," a dark comedy from writer Harris Goldberg, who is making his feature directorial debut on the picture.

Perry will play a screenwriter who suffers from acute depersonalization disorder, a condition so alienating and sanguine that it makes the chronically depressed look perky. When he falls for a girl, he puts himself through every single therapy in the book in order to win her love."

poor mathew perry
that movie plot sounds so generic, but he'll hit rock bottom if he ever did [pray not,] 'The Whole Eleven Yards'

I like Matthew Perry. Besides Lisa Kudrow he was always the funniest on 'Friends'. Unfortunately, he picks bad movies. He needs to do more physical and broad comedy. That suits him. Those Whole Nine/Ten Yards movies were trash.

This sounds like a really bad rehash of Nicholson's "As Good As It Gets"..............you know, for the Hugh Grant crowd.
