April 22, 2008 SPC will finance, produce and distribute the movie, which Holofcener wrote and will direct, in most worldwide territories as well as the U.S. Anthony Bregman ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") is producing through his Likely Story banner; Holofcener and Bregman collaborated at This Is That, the producer's former shingle. The untitled project -- described as a tale of family, death and real estate -- is set to start shooting in New York in mid-May and aims to wrap ahead of a potential SAG strike.
