George Simmons, the world-famous (yet quite lonely) comedian and movie star played but Adam Sandler in Judd Apatow's Funny People, won't be formally introduced to moviegoers until the film bows on July 31. In the meantime, however, you can get an early peek at some of the films that made Simmons a star, thanks to just-released clips from a few of his best-known hits, including Sayonara Davey, Dog's Best Friend, and Re-Do. It's all part of the promotional rollout for Funny People, centered around the launch of Simmons' official website. Ready to experience the latest and greatest in viral campaigns?
First up, we've got a clip from Sayonara Davey, a heartwarming comedy about a layabout college grad who's accidentally sent to Japan as a foreign exchange student -- and learns a little something about life in the process. (Warning: NSFW for language.) Take a look:
Next, get a glimpse of Dog's Best Friend, an action comedy about a cop who's forced to partner with a canine officer after his partner is murdered.
Finally, here's a scene from Re-Do, the story of a workaholic lawyer who, on his 40th birthday, wishes he could reclaim his lost youth -- and ends up in diapers:
