Is Ben Affleck Not That Into You?
This thing must have an incredible script...
by Jeff Giles | August 29, 2007
Discuss Article
Just when you think it can't possibly have room for another star, the rapidly expanding Borg collective that is the cast of He's Just Not That Into You adds a high-profile name to its list. Two weeks ago, we learned that Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston had signed on for the project; now, Variety is reporting that Ben Affleck is in talks to do the same.

He's Just Not That Into You, produced by (and starring) Drew Barrymore, has already secured the services of Aniston, Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Kevin Connolly, Justin Long, and Ginnifer Goodwin. Filming is scheduled to begin September 10, so Barrymore and her partners are running out of time to add big names to the cast -- which is fine with us, because typing out all these names is becoming a chore.

Affleck's next major role is behind the camera, directing his brother Casey in the upcoming adaptation of Dennis Lehane's Gone Baby Gone. Read more about it in our Fall Movie Preview!

I'm kind of getting the feeling that this screenplay is incredible. It must be, for all of these stars to be sharing time. Might be optimism on my part? I don't know. It doesn't make any sense.

Riiiiight. The only reason these idiots want in on this picture is because it's source material (a self-help book) was on the NYT best-seller list for an eternity.

But honestly, who's going to go to see a movie based on a self-help book?

Do you follow film much, underoath? Affleck was nominated for a Golden Globe for his work in Hollywoodland last year.

sir_mcchris_the_pirate & YourFavoriteNewKid, are you trying to tell me

one good performance is good enough to make up for a vastly horrific career that was

born only because he was lucky enough to be friends with damon? well, i do not think

so as this site will tell you {11 freshly reviewed films compared to 21 negatively

rotten reviewed ones} is one terrible actor who has never deserved the attention he

has recieved and has quietly out some curses on the actresses he has dated jennifer

lopez and soon enough jennifer garner. note, i know lopez never had much talent but

thanks to gigli she is now in the all time worse sector of actresses. please, do

not bring up one film, in which he is not even the main star, as reason to defend

people who despise him. like me:)

CoUcH - There's a reason why he makes millions while you sit around and ***** about him on the internet. He's given more than one good performance btw, Hollywoodland was just the latest.
