It's a self-proclaimed fairy tale, but one in which the elements do not mesh to create a single story or lesson, or even, well, amusement.
An ambitious film on many different levels, and I can appreciate that, but it rarely succeeds on any of them.
I don't get it. But I've got the strangest feeling that I don't get it because there's nothing at all to get.
