Consensus: The only thing this tired slasher flick may resurrect is nostalgia for when the genre was still fresh and scary.

The latest installment in the popular horror franchise, HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION, uses a clever premise to give the legendary murderer yet another opportunity to wreak havoc on a cast of innocent characters. Back in Haddonfield, Illinois, Freddie Harris (Busta Rhymes), upstart entrepreneur of Dangertainment.com, recruits six lucky college students to partake in a potentially dangerous game. Wearing miniature video cameras, the participants must spend Halloween night inside the decrepit home of Michael Myers, to the delight of Internet viewers all over the country. While most of the kids are in it for fun, fame, and fortune, Sara Moyer (Bianca Kajlich) is a glaring exception. Innocent, shy, and nervous, Sara grudgingly joins her friends Jen (Katee Sackhoff) and Rudy (Sean Patrick Thomas), against her better judgment. As darkness sets in and the bodies begin to pile, it's up to Sara--aided by an Internet pen pal--to put an end to Michael once and for all (or so she thinks!). Director Rick Rosenthal (HALLOWEEN 2) and screenwriters Larry Brand and Sean Hood incorporate technology into the story, using a grainy visual approach to add another layer of creepiness to the proceedings. Only a few minutes elapse before the daddy of all slashers arrives, still with the boiler suit and white mask, which look remarkably clean for a guy who has been mass-murdering since 1978 but has never been seen doing laundry.

Provides the Halloween franchise with a clear, objective Worst Movie Of The Series...a virtually flawless collection of all the things that can make a slasher film unwatchable.

A pretty funny comedy starring the one, the only, the incomparable...Busta Rhymes.

A única pessoa que se deu bem com este filme foi Jamie Lee Curtis, que garantiu sua saída definitiva da série.

A Blair Witch- style adventure that plays like a bad soap opera, with passable performances from everyone in the cast.

Halloween: Resurrection is surprisingly effective, especially the opening sequence featuring the showdown between Laurie and Michael.

An unsatisfying hybrid of Blair Witch and typical stalk-and-slash fare, where the most conservative protagonist is always the last one living.

The movie is like a year late for tapping into our reality tv obsession, and even tardier for exploiting the novelty of the "webcast."

Resurrection has the dubious distinction of being a really bad imitation of the really bad Blair Witch Project.

Moustappha Akkad once again proves that he cares more about money than any kind of artistic vision. This series should have ended five sequels ago...

The only fun part of the movie is playing the obvious game. You try to guess the order in which the kids in the house will be gored.

Our once-shadowy, nightmarish figure is now shot exclusively in overlit, sitcom styled close-ups.

I have to admit that I had a good time with this brain-dead slasher flick %u2013 not in spite of its myriad stupidities, but because of them.

There's only one way to kill Michael Myers for good: stop buying tickets to these movies.
