Title for Harry Potter's Last Adventure Has Been Announced

The official Harry Potter website is offering a game of hangman in which winners can learn the name of the seventh and final book in the "Harry Potter" series. Or you can just click on in and I'll tell you the title.

It's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," a title I just now typed out for the very first time -- and I get the sneaky suspicion it won't be the last.

Hmmmm, you don't read it, and yet you still know it's garbage. You Sir are a wonder. It baffles me that the 30 million people who do read it didn't figure out this secret before hand. If only they hadn't read the first one they could have avoided all that hassle of waiting in line for days for the next piece of garbage to come out. Seriously, I don't mean to be a jerk about it, but how would you know if you don't read it?

I don't know, J.K. Rowling seems pretty adamant about this being the last book and it's not like money is going to be a driving factor for her. She's already the richest woman in England. I suppose they could try doing them without a book to base it off of, but that sounds like a death nell to me.

If the movies are any indication of what the books are like, regardless of cuts and minor revisions, then they are utter garbage. I don't know what you see in this crap. Do they lace the pages with crack? Just keep this up and you'll be reading Book 30: "Harry Potter Comes out of the Magic Closet."

to those of you who think there will be more after this last book...if you were a fan you would know that Jo means it when she says there will be no more HP books after 7...shes even talked about the possibility of killing Harry just so 50 years after she dies the owner of the copyright cant make any sequels. Sadly this will be the last of a GREAT series!

I was a bit underwhelmed when I first heard the title, but I figure Rowling knows better than anyone what title is appropriate for book 7, and I'm starting to warm up to it. It sets a dark tone for the book, and also suggests that this may truly be the end for Harry (and I don't mean this just being the last book).

Do you judge all books you haven't read by the film versions? Maybe if I want to cut down on the long list of books I want to read I should just watch the movies first and then elimanate all the bad ones. Then I will hardly want to read anything at all. Imagine all the time I'll have to sit around allowing my brain to rot. Awesome.

JK has got copywrite over the Harry Potter name and all the others in it so there will not be any more. And when she pegs it people wont then be interested.
And you cannot judge the books by the films. Thats the most retarded thing you could do. The books are fantastic..the films arent. Films generally never live up to the books. I think its somethign to do with the fact that in books we have to use our imagination. Somethign the imbecile commenting above knows nothing about.
I think the title is fab...very sinister and i also feel its the end of Harry...and Snape is good...he had to do it gad damn it!
