Title for Harry Potter's Last Adventure Has Been Announced
The official Harry Potter website is offering a game of hangman in which winners can learn the name of the seventh and final book in the "Harry Potter" series. Or you can just click on in and I'll tell you the title.
It's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," a title I just now typed out for the very first time -- and I get the sneaky suspicion it won't be the last.
For more information visit the official site or this report at ComingSoon.net.

on Dec 22 2006 06:58 AM Of course not. The Pottheads are still waiting for 'Harry Potter Gets Laid' ... or is he already past the hand-party stage? I wouldn't know because I don't read this garbage. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 07:25 AM In reply to this comment (#851580) Hmmmm, you don't read it, and yet you still know it's garbage. You Sir are a wonder. It baffles me that the 30 million people who do read it didn't figure out this secret before hand. If only they hadn't read the first one they could have avoided all that hassle of waiting in line for days for the next piece of garbage to come out. Seriously, I don't mean to be a jerk about it, but how would you know if you don't read it? (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 07:27 AM In reply to this comment (#851579) I don't know, J.K. Rowling seems pretty adamant about this being the last book and it's not like money is going to be a driving factor for her. She's already the richest woman in England. I suppose they could try doing them without a book to base it off of, but that sounds like a death nell to me. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 07:50 AM umm Why are the potheads waiting for that? Why did you even throw the term pothead in for that sentence? I know im not waiting for that... If you feel it is so much garbage then why even post a comment?...I expected the last book to sound a little bit more crazy but Deathly Hallows is growin on me. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 08:19 AM look, if your gonna piss on it, then don't comment. me on the other hand am totally stoked for this book. i still think that J.K is gonna end the series with a total mind fuck of an ending, and i want to be there for that. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 08:31 AM The little game on the site is easy. I knew off the start it'd have the word death in it somewheres. Harry better die, cause if Snape dies millions of little emo kids around the world will sob. (Reply to this) |

![]() on Dec 22 2006 05:10 PM Everyone knows Harry Potter books are awesome. Leave the few sniveling instigators who want to act all badass by saying they suck alone. It's just attention they want. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 22 2006 08:09 PM In reply to this comment (#851581) lol, well played sir, well played. The name does sound odd when you first hear it, but it starts to zing after awhile, at least for me anyways. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 23 2006 07:57 AM If the movies are any indication of what the books are like, regardless of cuts and minor revisions, then they are utter garbage. I don't know what you see in this crap. Do they lace the pages with crack? Just keep this up and you'll be reading Book 30: "Harry Potter Comes out of the Magic Closet." (Reply to this) |

on Dec 23 2006 12:24 PM I think this will be the final book by JK, but i think she will go for a George Lucas type fan-fiction thing with other authors writing stories that she will approval over. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 23 2006 02:46 PM In reply to this comment (#851590) Then once again, why do you even bother to comment on something you have no interest in. Obviously your too hip and elite to enjoy such populist tripe, but we sure do appreciate you stepping out of your ivory tower to set us little plebians right in our errant ways. Run along now, I think there's a Bergman festival you need to catch. (Reply to this) |

on Dec 23 2006 03:01 PM In reply to this comment (#851580) next we start the stories about his friends... "Hermione granger: The unexpected mother" "Ron Weasley: And the Child support payments of doom" (Reply to this) |
![]() on Dec 24 2006 08:35 AM well to those of you who think there will be more after this last book...if you were a fan you would know that Jo means it when she says there will be no more HP books after 7...shes even talked about the possibility of killing Harry just so 50 years after she dies the owner of the copyright cant make any sequels. Sadly this will be the last of a GREAT series! (Reply to this) |
![]() on Dec 24 2006 10:16 AM I was a bit underwhelmed when I first heard the title, but I figure Rowling knows better than anyone what title is appropriate for book 7, and I'm starting to warm up to it. It sets a dark tone for the book, and also suggests that this may truly be the end for Harry (and I don't mean this just being the last book). (Reply to this) |

on Dec 24 2006 01:28 PM In reply to this comment (#851590) Do you judge all books you haven't read by the film versions? Maybe if I want to cut down on the long list of books I want to read I should just watch the movies first and then elimanate all the bad ones. Then I will hardly want to read anything at all. Imagine all the time I'll have to sit around allowing my brain to rot. Awesome. "It's always best to be offended by things you haven't read. That way you keep your mind uncluttered by things that might change it." -Neil Gaiman, his blog BTW I'm really really excited! Can't wait! (Reply to this) |

on Dec 27 2006 03:41 AM JK has got copywrite over the Harry Potter name and all the others in it so there will not be any more. And when she pegs it people wont then be interested. And you cannot judge the books by the films. Thats the most retarded thing you could do. The books are fantastic..the films arent. Films generally never live up to the books. I think its somethign to do with the fact that in books we have to use our imagination. Somethign the imbecile commenting above knows nothing about. I think the title is fab...very sinister and i also feel its the end of Harry...and Snape is good...he had to do it gad damn it! (Reply to this) |
