The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe

Walk the Line
War of the Worlds
Ten-minute clip reels from each of the seven films will be screened for the Sound Editing Award Committee on Tuesday, January 24. At this screening the members will vote to nominate three of the seven films for Oscar® consideration.

![]() on Jan 10 2006 08:46 AM My bet is on Chronicles, Kong, and War of the Worlds. Geisha and Walk the Line are the weakest links in this category and i'm curious how they became finalists. Potter was a good movie, but in the same vein of Star Wars, it's a sequel and the fx editing seems to be identical as in the previous movies in the series. So my money is on the newbies. on Jan 10 2006 11:59 AM I'm just chearing for the three film I liked the most: Kong, Line, and Potter. But it won't hurt my feelings if Star Wars gets a nod. (Reply to this) |

on Jan 10 2006 12:52 PM Star Wars, Walk the Line, Kong, Narnia. All worthy of the title. But i would have to say star wars. I wish they had been nominated for best score because John Williams was a genius in Episode III. It brought star wars back from its slum. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Jan 10 2006 04:22 PM Episode III's music didn't add much new (or memorable, for that matter) content to the score of the Star Wars prequels. I found it lame and repetitive. (Reply to this) |
![]() on Jan 11 2006 09:50 AM John Williams John Williams will either get an Oscar Nom. for Memoirs of a Geisha or Munich, two very critically aclaimed scores. He also has a long shot to get a nomination for War of the Worlds, although it is unlikely. Oh and Episode III's music is by far the best of the prequels. (Reply to this) |
