Joe Utichi writes: on Feb 13 2008 09:39 AM Of course they'll do Deathly Hallows. Far, far too much money involved for them not to, and there's absolutely no reason they wouldn't. Radcliffe did Equus in London in-between the filming and release of Order of the Phoenix, so I wouldn't assume he couldn't do the same in New York when Half-Blood Prince wraps. Isaacs was just saying he doesn't know when they'll start the film. There's also the issue of the potential actors' strike to think about. (Reply to this) |

opTIMus Nerd writes: on Feb 13 2008 10:36 AM Isaacs is one of those actors that just oozes villainy...to the point that I have a hard time imagining him NOT playing a villain. (Reply to this) |

frothy writes: on Feb 13 2008 11:36 AM He does. I can't imagine anyone else in the role. Well, maybe I could, but he's so good there's no point. (Reply to this) |

Bigbrother writes: on Feb 13 2008 12:07 PM Alan Rickman and Jason Isaacs. The two best villains currently working in Hollywood in the same movie series. No wonder it's been such a success. Now, if only they could have a word with Micheal Gambon about how to portray Dumbledore. (Reply to this) |

ajmk123 writes: on Feb 13 2008 12:10 PM Optimus Nerd he played an awesome Ranger in Black Hawk Down. He was a hard ***, not a villain but did a great job. (Reply to this) |

hppamela writes: on Feb 13 2008 02:05 PM I feel you big brother. It's not that he's bad, but I just don't think he does the role justice. He's been playing Dumbledore too short-tempered. In regards to Jason Issacs, though, I think there is no better actor for the role. He kind of is Lucius Malfoy. (Reply to this) |

rt_hire_me writes: on Feb 13 2008 07:21 PM Watched Peter Pan, kept wondering where I had seen Wendy's father and Cpt Hook before. Mystery solved. Yeah, he rocks, no matter what his coiffe. What about the villain from Knight's Tale? Why don't we see more of him? (Reply to this) |

Ashron writes: on Feb 14 2008 06:53 AM In reply to this comment (#1573937) You mean Rufus Sewell? He's around, just not in big blockbuster things. If you saw The Illusionist you saw him. He's also in The Holiday. (Reply to this) |

Hamboner writes: on Feb 14 2008 10:22 AM I was really hoping they would split this movie into two and get more of the subplots in there. These last 2 films will be an utter cluster***** if they don't let the running times hit near the 4-hour range for each. I know it won't happen, but seriously, STOP LEAVING IMPORTANT STUFF OUT! (Reply to this) |

paskunia writes: on Apr 28 2008 11:08 AM Hamboner- If the two DH parts are 2 1/2 hours each or so, then that is finally doing justice to the larger Rowling novels, which have each been shredded to what is considered to be a "reasonable" running time. Five hours devoted to the essential parts of the book is plenty of time. It also allows them to add some smaller details from the DH book- such as Luna Lovegood's writings, the ones they saw when they went to her house- that they couldn't afford to keep in the previous movies (for one, Hermione's seeking of support for fair treatment fair treatment for the elves). What I would like to see at the end of the DH saga is a slight extension of the book's ending. Like so many others, I really cared about what happened to the survivors, but I felt like the epilogue was way too short, as if Rowling mentally ran out of gas at the end, that she could and should have given us more information.
