Shia Getting LeBuff for "Indiana Jones 4"
You know how that kid from "Holes" was cast in the next "Indiana Jones"? Well, you might not recognize him by the time the flick hits theaters next year.
The extremely likable Shia LaBeouf is saying all the right things where his role in "Indiana Jones 4" is concerned: "This is film history. I don't just owe it to everybody involved in the franchise – I owe it to everybody who's ever been a fan of Indiana Jones. I realize how important this is." OK, well said.
"The script has been in development for 15 years. It's a huge project and you treat it that way," said the young actor -- after he described a diet and exercise regiment that'll put him into action-friendly shape. The formerly skinny kid star has put on 15 pounds to play an as-yet unnamed character, which he then hopes to shape into muscle. I'm beginning to see why Spielberg likes this kid so much. And between "Disturbia" and "Transformers," it looks like a whole the guy's a star already.

on Apr 24 2007 08:03 AM Though I've only heard that he was going to play a side kick, if he was the son it would be the son of "Indiana Jones Jr." Sean Connery spends the entire movie calling his son Jr. in the last movie, because he is Indiana Jones senior (though Indiana is not his real name, it's what they called the dog). Calling it "Indiana Jones 4" is just getting old... they should release a full name. And Yeah, no way that Shia LaBeof's is ONLY Indie's "sidekick"... He will, no-doubtably, be his son. Indie will probably figure it out in the course of the movie. Initial rumors had it that actress KAREN ALLEN (Marion from "Raiders of the Lost Ark") was also approached... would she be the mother? Telling Indie about his son...? Anyway, Harrison Ford is too old now (to continue playing Jones)... He'll have to pass the adventure hat an whip on to his son. God, I hope they don't show that INDIANA JONES has a daughter!! Man, I hope they won't do that... That would completely ruin it all for me. Yeah, I'm a chauvinist, sue me. Indiana Jones is mainly and majorly adored by only MALE audiences anyway. Besides, Girls already have (big breasted) Tomb Raider Lara Croft to look up to. (Reply to this) |

I would like for you to know that I have always adored the Indiana Jones movies- was raised by a father who loved them and always watched them with me. I am not at all a fan of Lara Croft and her big breasts- those were intended for the male viewers, or were you not aware. I like the action and wit that Indiana Jones has to offer, so maybe you should get your facts straight before you post the dumb comments that you do. (Reply to this) |

on May 17 2007 12:44 AM [b]shia...whya?[/b] look, he's far overrated. he's not the worst. i read that the role mark wahlberg got in the departed was originally for christian bale. the first thing that crossed my mind was, hell ya!! after the underrated masterpiece "harsh times" that cop would have been perfect for bale. all wahlberg brought to the departed was his lame character in the ignorant four brothers. give someone else a chance for indy junior. quit giving shia lebouf all these cool roles because he isnt up to snuff. and one more thing...christian bale is much more talented than marky mark wahlberger!!!!
