Running from 1962-1971, the show followed the adventures of the Clampetts, a family of country folk who moved to Los Angeles after striking oil in their swampy backyard. Newly rich, the family has a difficult time adjusting to the social norms of life in the city. In "Home for Christmas," the Clampetts don't know what to do with all the generous gifts they receive from Mr. Drysdale. Jed gets a boat, Elly gets a monkey, and grandma gets a television she mistakes for a washing machine. In "Christmas at the Clampetts," the family boards an airplane for the first time. Together, they travel home to their cabin in the mountains for a special visit with their Cousin Pearl, who isn't expecting their arrival. [More]
