Media Bites: "Rambo 4," "Hostel 2," "Potter 5" & the "Almighty"
Here's just a catch-all post filled with new photos, websites, promo clips, and trailer news. Fun stuff if you're looking forward to "Hostel: Part 2," "Rambo 4," "The Dark is Rising," "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," or "Evan Almighty."
Regarding "Hostel: Part 2" -- If you decide to go see the William Friedkin thriller "Bug" on (or after) May 25th, you'll be treated to a 5-minute clip from Eli Roth's horror sequel. Take this as either a promise or a warning, but now you know.
For "Rambo" fans, we have some snapshots from the set of the third sequel, which you can see here and here. As expected, he looks angry and sweaty.
Fans of "The Dark is Rising" will no doubt want to know what the movie version looks like, and those folks can click right here to pick through the first 11 photos from the film. (Looks pretty nifty; then again so did "Eragon.")
Those who lean more towards the "Harry Potter" persuasion will surely want to click through the newly-updated official sites. Here's the U.S. site, and here's the UK.
Last but not least: If you're planning to watch "The Office" tonight, be sure to wait around after it's over. That's when you'll catch an extended preview of Steve Carell's "Evan Almighty," which has been widely reported as the most expensive comedy ever made. (Really?) If you miss the promo tonight, you can check it out later at DotComedy.com.

on May 17 2007 05:50 AM evan is gonna suck, sorry dude. i've seen multiple trailers and NONE of it is even chuckle-able. it wreaks of overbudget flop. i like Carell but it looks like he got in over his head. hope i'm wrong though...not many movies out are that funny anymore only one of those that looks good to me is Hostel 2...can't wait (Reply to this) |

on May 17 2007 10:46 AM In reply to this comment (#865752) An M2 Browning .50 Caliber Machine Gun. And it does not look like it's attached to anything. By the by, that weapon puts out abound 500lbs of pressure when it fires, and would effectively shatter the body of any man holding it, (which is why it's always mounted.) BUT! It's freaking RAMBO! on May 17 2007 01:32 PM In reply to this comment (#865753) doofus yeah, cause when the photo is cropped, of course it must mean Stallone has the gun cantilevered off his arms... Use your head, the last 1/3 of the weapon is all you see. Its mounted. (Reply to this) |

on May 18 2007 03:15 AM I think 'Evan Almighty' should have a bit of a different story, like Evan gets the job of Satan. But seeing as thats not the case i think this will suffer from being too similar to the original. (Reply to this) |

on May 18 2007 03:47 AM Hope? Hope has nothing to do with it. Rambo is already awesome. He needs not your petty cries of hope, he's "freaking RAMBO!". Awesome is a quality inherit in his very being. Rambo's entire genetic structure is laced with highly potent ABA (equal parts Awesome, Badass, and Awesome again). The implications of his Awesomeness are just that; implications, for if Rambo ever managed to break the barrier between fantasy realms and real?.........I'd rather not think about the destruction. As for the movie. Yeah I think I'll watch it. (Reply to this) |

on May 18 2007 10:51 AM In reply to this comment (#865759) That's reason enough. One thing about Rambo; no sentimental BS slowing down the story, just an all out shoot first ask questions later kind of action that guarantees that you won't sitting alongside an English Patient or Shakespere in Love fan.
